The internationally endangered species “the Black Necked Cranes” have made Bhutan its winter roosting place. Greater Spotted Eagle, Baer’s Pilchard, Imperial Eagle and Hodgson’s Bush Chart are some of the endangered species found in Bhutan. Other globally threatened birds are White Bellied Heron, Pallas’s Fish Eagle, Chestnut Breasted Partridge, Blyth’s Trogon, Wood Snipe, Dark Rumped Swift, Rufous Necked Hornbill, Grey Crowned Prinia and Beautiful Nuthatch.
